(NASHUA, NH) – Until this week, the city of Nashua has lacked an important component currently enjoyed by many other cities across northern New England who are part of a thriving Start-Up and entrepreneurial community – a co-working & incubator space. That has now changed, thanks to the leadership of velocityHUB in bringing together key strategic partners and resources to create nashuaHUB – a co-working and incubator space for entrepreneurs across the greater Nashua community.
nashuaHUB provides an open-concept work space that includes 10 work stations; a kitchenette; a mini-conference area; and, a formal conference center – all of which are accessible 24/7 to tenants of the new, modern-designed facility located in the heart of downtown Nashua on Water Street, on the edge of Nashua’s Millyard. The facility will accommodate 12 tenants when it officially opens its doors in mid May, as well as a large number of “virtual members” who wish to access the facility’s meeting spaces and programs, and the many discounted services offered through nashuaHUB’s business sponsors.
Brendan P. Keegan, Managing Partner of velocityHUB, shared his sentiments about the initiative, stating, “As a Nashua native, I have so much pride in what our city could become in terms of supporting more small businesses like mine. My wife, Dana, and I are committed to giving back to our community’s social fabric through our Courage and Faith Foundation; through this nashuaHUB effort, we also can now give back to our community’s economic vibrancy.”
nashuaHUB will receive operational and marketing support from two of Keegan’s colleagues at velocityHUB. Chris Williams, Partner at velocityHUB, will serve as the volunteer Executive Director of nashuaHUB; and Amanda Rogers, Associate Partner at velocityHUB, is helping oversee marketing and promotional efforts related to nashuaHUB.
“Launching nashuaHUB perfectly matches our company’s vision of creating 1 Million leaders,” said Williams. “Our company focuses our entire resources and expertise on making people better leaders in their workplace, their school, and in their community. nashuaHUB is a logical extension of the great work that our company does here in Nashua and beyond, and we are committed to seeing nashuaHUB help launch 5,000 new jobs over the next 11 years,” said Williams.
The RAPID Group, one of Nashua’s fastest growing companies, is a co-founder and strategic partner of nashuaHUB. CEO Jay Jacobs and Marketing Director, Matt Sordillo, have worked with velocityHUB since Day 1 to see this vision of nashuaHUB become reality. “I’m incredibly proud to partner with our city’s fastest growing company, and with Jay personally, to make nashuaHUB an opportunity that will in turn grow 250 other companies in our city over the next 11 years,” said Keegan.
Companies wishing to sponsor nashuaHUB, and entrepreneurs interested in renting space at nashuaHUB, can find more information by visiting www.nashuaHUB.com or by contacting Executive Director, Chris Williams.
