NASHUA, NH, October 16, 2014 – Velocity Performance, a leading provider of business consulting & professional training services, has partnered with Amherst College to bring the Victory Academy to the Amherst College student-athletes as part of the Amherst LEADS program.

Amanda E. Rogers, Associate Partner at Velocity Performance and Executive Director of the Victory Academy, said, “We could not be more excited to be working with the Amherst LEADS program at Amherst College. The Victory Academy programs are an extension of Velocity’s Leadership Academy offering built for executives, professionals and emerging leaders in companies large and small, from the Fortune 100 to Inc. 500 businesses. The Victory Academy works with college academic and athletic programs to develop leadership traits and professional skills, and ultimately maximize the potential of the participants.

Amherst LEADS is a leadership development program that provides a comprehensive and educational view of leadership that can be used both during and after a student-athlete’s experience at Amherst. Designed specifically for varsity student-athletes, the program features a wide variety of symposia, workshops, speakers and interactive experiences to educate the college’s student-athletes about becoming strong, ethical and influential leaders.

On October 20, 2014, Amherst student-athletes will gather in the Amherst College athletics facilities for the Victory Academy program Victory Brand. The student-athletes will develop their personal & professional brand and walk away with their own Victory Brand Plan. About Amanda E. Rogers Amanda E. Rogers is the Associate Partner at Velocity Performance and the Executive Director of the Victory Academy, a leadership-training program for colleges, high schools and youth groups. She works diligently to help develop young leaders and propel them to Victory. Rogers is also the Executive Director of the Girls’ NH Tomahawks, an elite lacrosse program. She played on the Nationally Ranked, Division 1 Boston University lacrosse team. Additionally, Rogers serves as a board member on the Keegan Family COURAGE & FAITH Foundation focused on supporting youth academics, leadership and athletics.
